Equinox Solar and Wind
It all started back in the mid and late 90’s, from 1994-2003 I managed the Borestone Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary for the National Audubon Society. This 1639 acre mountain sanctuary is located ten miles northeast of Monson, Maine. It has a fabulous hiking trail to the Borestone Mountain summit, 12 buildings including a nature center and two Adirondack Rustic style lodges.  During my tenure the sanctuary and its facilities were being developed for hosting board members and donors, individuals and groups wanting to rent the lodges and weekly conservation youth camps during the summer. During this development period one of the major obstacles was no electric power was available to the entire sanctuary and facilities.
I first designed and constructed a two photo-voltaic panel and charge controller system which charged 12vdc batteries for cell phones and FM radios. This system worked.... I won’t describe how well considering the carrying of car batteries from place to place. The second system that I designed and installed supplied power to a newly constructed composting toilet facility for its ventilation blower and greywater pump.
The third solar-voltaic system that I designed and installed at the Adirondack Lodges was more involved. It consisted of six 70 watt panels, twelve Trojan T-105 6vdc batteries, Trace C-35 charge controller, and DR2424 2400w inverter. This 24vdc system powered all lighting, composting toilet ventilation and pumping..
Since the Borestone days I have helped design and install a 24 kw, 24vdc solar system and wind power system on the 54 ft. Sailboat New Morning for the Lyman Morse Boatbuilding Company.

In 2007 I attended a 39 hour PV Design and Installation workshop held by Solar Energy International. My current resume and SEI certificate are available for customer review. The company is not currently NABCEP certified but is working towards it.
